What do you get when you put a few hundred bargain hunting mums together? The Baby and Kids Market at Sutherland! Husband and I went once before, when our monster was a little one and I was so overwhelmed that I think at the time I walked away with three t shirts and a jumper. Times have changed... And though not as ruthless as some of these mums, I made sure I got myself a bargain or three.
Leo has well and truly gotten over his fear of face-painting. He is going through a bit of a superhero thing at the moment, his favourite being Spider-man. I was a little disappointed in his choice, for weeks he has been saying the next face painting was going to be a rainbow!
On our way back to the car we met some of the friendliest chooks I have ever met. They absolutely swamped the fence. Leo and I decided that when we move up north, If we have the room, we might just like a chicken or two as pets. Not too sure what the mister will think of this idea...
Want to see my haul? I'm just a tad chuffed with some of my finds. I ended up spending about $60 when I would of spent a few hundred if I bought all this brand new in the stores. The great thing about these clothes, the baby girls in particular, is that kids grow so fast most of these are practically brand new.. for a fraction of the cost.
My favourite find of the day - Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy. I can already picture them sitting on a chest at the end of my little mouse's bed.
Gosh I love a good market morning. I hope everyone elses weekend was as swell as mine!
The baby & kids market sounds like a splendid thing. I totally agree about the baby/wee kid clothes. They're almost always in great condition. Unlike when the kiddos get older and the clothes show more wear.
ReplyDeleteLove that Spiderman face!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great haul! Good job!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteIt was harder to get clothes for my eldest. He is nearly 4, so clothes for kids his age were either too worn.. or never worn because they were a little.. odd.
I'll be stopping by your blog asap.
